Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn, better known to us as Sylvan Esso are one of the most entertaining and innovative bands currently making electronic music. They’ve managed to score yet another eccentric and exciting hit with their latest track, the hard to pronounce but easy to like PARAD(w/m)E.
It’s a fun filled, minimal track, which uses the lyrics – their sound, meaning and cadence – as another instrument, with string effects, minimal beats and an 8bit inspired bass giving the track an instantly likeable and memorable feel. You can imagine kids playing hopscotch to this on a warm summer day, as their parents stay in the shade and drink iced tea.
PARAD(w/m)E is out now, streaming on Spotify and can be downloaded via iTunes, GooglePlay and all major digital retailers. The duo will be touring America over the year, you can find ticket details on the website and Facebook page.
