After two and a half years of silence, the Swedish indie-pop trio Like Swimming (Claes Carlström, Ida Hedene, and Petter Wesslander) show they’ve lost none of their edge or vigour on new single Strike A Pose. The trio have commissioned a video by Serena Reynolds, which blends live action and animation to reinforce the impact of the song.

Parenthood and time for reflection seems to have energised the band. The track takes a personal message and expands it to comment on the world we live in today, shining a light on the need for women to be empowered in a world that does not always welcome reason, in-depth thoughts or opinions. With its proud and defiant take on indie-infused electropop, Strike A Pose shows that the Like Swimming have matured as a band and as people, making their return to the music scene a welcome one.

Strike A Pose is available on Spotify now and will also feature on the politically charged six-track EP Resistance, set for release on 20th April 2018 via DigSin.
