Warrior is the new single from Glasgow indie-electro-pop band BDY_PRTS and is a precursor for the band’s upcoming Fly Invisible Hero album. The harmonising of the two frontwomen (and songwriters) of BDY_PRTS, Jill O’Sullivan and Jenny Reeve, is like listening to Stevie Nicks and Kate Bush collaborating over darkly shimmering layers of electro-indie which pulsates ominously before building to an emotional crescendo.
Warrior is BDY_PRTS fourth single in total, and follows on from the duo’s Summer release, Rooftops and IDLU and Cold Shoulder (the latter released in 2014/15 respectively). These first two singles premiered on Clash and New York’s Neon Gold blog, with plays by DJs Vic Galloway (BBC Radio Scotland) and Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 6 Music). Cold Shoulder also found itself on BBC Radio 1 Introducing playlist with, to date, a massive quarter of a million streams on Spotify alone. Both Warrior (29/09/17) and Fly Invisible Hero (24/11/17) will be released via Aggrocat Records.
